I'm planning my first night flight across LA for tomorrow night (if things all fall in line). A bit nervous-- Lots of complexities. Maybe I can get Ken to post some "on the fly" updates.

I went to the "Back Country Flying" lecture tonight at our airport. It was not really a "How To" like I thought it was going to be, but a "Where To" fly back country (especially in California). I'll post more on this as soon as I can. Some cool stuff. As a teaser, also mentioned, google "Caveman Ranch" -- some guy blasted a series of caves into a local mountain and put in an airstrip, so you can fly in and play caveman!! ;)

I went down to the airport for some landing practice today. Twenty-one landings in 18 minutes (in moderate winds 10-16) all on ONE gallon of gas!!! You gotta love trikes!!!

Hey David, I would love to be able to make it to Vegas or Salton or both.......but work has other thoughts on that......sucks.
I looked a little closer at the printing on the t-shirt in the posted pic.......Its not the alltrikes logo.....I thought it was.
OK so now I like my t-shirt better.....hahaha.

Yeah, the F-Police did come and get YFT, something about excessive importing. I'm sending him a care package- you know prison stuff, soap on a rope, hacksaw, etc

Hey, It's a "Blue Moon" tonight here in the states!! Next one not until 2015. Was it a blue moon yesterday in Oz, or (shows ow dumb I am about things) are your moon phases not the same as ours in the Southern hemisphere view?

Ken!!! Let's do this, we can time-share it between Vegas and Oceano (the Pirate's Lair at Oceano has room to put it). I think it's totally doable to get it on my Prius (trike inside / backseat down), wing on top with some Mike Barber Remora Racks !!

Hi XC, Intrigued to read about your adventures around Glacier Nat Pk. Sept last year, wife and I motorcycled throughout BC down into Montana where we based ourselves at Whitefish for a while, all the while searching for any Trike activity. There was none, to our great disappointment. Sounds like we were a year early. Fantastic scenery from the winding roads, and, as we suspected, even better from the air. Well done.

Henry should be landing at Felt's Field (Spokane) at about 09:00 am. Going down there to meet him now. May take a rest day today, finish getting ready. Big day starts tomorrow.

hey XC yes that was the 4th of july in powers oregon there were seven of us doing a fly over 5 fixed wing and 2 trikes. as for as the people getting into triking there always seems to be someone getting into triking everywhere I go. this year tho there are more fixed wing students from the old days trying to become sport pilot, that already know how to fly but didn't get into system yet. however am always busy training trike pilots.

Hi David, the tropical hot we have here too. On the weekend will be 100°F here... But on Sunday my wife and me will travell to Croatia. YUPIIIIIIIIII !!! We love the sea... I hope my friend Željko Ploh will prepare his boat trike (FIB) and we will to fly too again :)

Oh, did I mention- the sun went down hours ago, it's still 91° F outside !!! It's like Africa HOT !!!

Sorry I haven't been more available to keep you updated- Driving 1000+ mils, then setting things up here, etc. Now got to get some sleep- up at 4:30am to go flying with Ttabs & GeoBlaze

Yup! Over 2000hrs. And "little" countries like USA and Mexico only count as one each and take a while to cross. In Sydney at the moment.
