World-Wide Triking Hall of Fame-- Taking Nominations for 2013

the World Wide Triking Hall of Fame

Major sports & interests all have halls of fame designed to recognize those who have contributed greatly to our passion.  These can be pioneers, designers, photographers & videographers, adventurers, instructors, story tellers and personalities, and those who have struggled against adversity.

It is time that the greats of our sport of Triking (also known as Weight Shift Control, Triking & Powered Hang Gliding ) are recognized

With that, I'd like to start taking nominations for the first 5 inductees into the hall of fame for 2013

Here's how it can work.  Throughout each year, we submit nominations to the WWTHoF in the comments below.  We can have people second those nominations.  Based on the numbers of nominations and seconds, we develop a group of TEN nominees for that year.  In the 2 weeks before Dec 31st, we put those names in a POLL here and vote.  For the first year, since we are way behind, we will induct 5 members.  Each subsequent year we will induct 3 more (these guidelines are subject to modification by the members of AllTrikes).

Nominations for 2013 and subsequent years do NOT have to be from actions/events/activities that occurred in 2012.  For example, my first nominee is Francis Rogallo.  (adding information or a link as I have done with Mr Rogallo's name to details about their fame is suggested so that others may learn from & about the greats of our sport).

This is intended to be truly World Wide-- so please contribute great names from around the WORLD!!

Voting ends on Dec 31st each year, and on Jan 1st, we not only get to see the results, but also share in the World Wide New Year's Day Fly-In.  What a great day for AllTrikes members from around the world on Jan 1st each year!!!
