Thanks YFT... I'll take you up on the offer next year. Noel C's been equally courteous with a simlar offer. I've access to a house at Mount Beauty equally un-exercised, but next year... whole different ball game with reciprocity extended to fellow trikers at Mt Beauty for some fun flying. AT' is as close to flying as I'm prepared to get at moment. Wings clipped may as well be disemboweled & heart ripped out by a pterodactyl claw. The fire burns strong, fueling motivation. And a chance to get up close and personal with TB13 (even a look), awesome. Cheers and thanks again for the offer.

  • madmik

Thanks YFT. I've been in a holding pattern since mid September when the engine died. Triking life on hold at 25 hours. I'll be back up in the air next year to solo & qualify but there's only been two flying days missed, so not really missed out. Agreed however that climatic conditions north of Divide (where I reside & parallel Yarrawonga) are far more favourable. The local guy I purchased the trike from is also waiting to start his re-accreditation after having been out of the sport for a while. The exile's self imposed until more gainfully employed. Four hours of flying .... one can only dare to dream. Cheers

That's great guys, so we have XC & Mrs XC, David Coy, and Joziko, coming of the MF trip. Is there anyone else from AT joining?

  • Jozinko

  • Jozinko

Hello, I will go! Now I looking for about flying companies and good solutions between flying comfort and the price. The Emirates looks good :)

  • YFT

Hi Ken, don't stress. If you are unable to make it to this MF, we would be more than happy to have you over here any time.

  • Ken

Things aren't looking good for me on Megafauna, timing is just off enough that I can't make it work. Sounds like a great event though, one day....

  • XC Triker

Thanks YFT, Janet & I are going. Janet will go with us on Megfauna-- it's a unique opportunity and Anne talked her in to it rather than the touristy things. As for the other guys, you know as well as I do. I think Jozinko is going, Coy says he's going. Geo, Ttabs, Nathan, & Kim, still thinking. I can't make up their mind for them. Thank you for giving us all a shot at a spot.
Do you want me to post as an "Event" here?
    @Knussear, @Georgeb @Wambleska, @Nwhiteafd, @Ttabs

Just kidding Biggles is a very good friend and he is doing his formation endorsment. Hi will be on the Megafauna Fly-away next year.

Megafauna Flyaway for 2014 will start on the 27th April and finish on the 4th of May. This works around school holidays, Easter, and ANZAC day. Any earlier would be the most expensive accommodation time and would also be very hard to get accommodation for a large group. Let me know what you think.

  • YFT

Hi XC, i have posted some photos under the friends area. So have a look and this may anwser some of your questions on the formation. I have only put it under Friends as I do not want it seen by everyone. I mean I wouldn't like pilot without the training to just give it a go. All the best

Hey YFT, was there an article in particular you were pointing us to at CASA?

  • YFT

Hi All, hope the flying is going great for you. If you are interested have a look at the Australia CASA Flight Safety magazine.

Hi YFT, the virtual fly-in for FIRST FLIGHT of the year was a lot of fun last year! Great snow pics (and summer pics for you). Is it on the Events calendar here again?

  • YFT

HI all, we are over half way through the year and it is time to start thinking about the FIRST FLIGHT for 2014....
Our Vertual Fly-in. Lets get the ball rolling.

  • YFT

Hi CB, Would I recommend the Arrow wing for your aircraft? Yes I would. Its not as high so you can fit it into a standard hangar. If you are thinking of folding it up like the QuickR wing... No that is not a good idea. However you need to remember that you will have to replace the mast for the heavier one so you will find that it will cost you just under $14000.00.

  • YFT

Two happy Hervey Bay Pilots heading home. Both Soloed today, and they are signed off on three types of aircraft. Airborne XT-912 Streak 3, Airborne XT-912 Arrow, and The Air Creation Tanarg Bionix 13. They have even completed two NAV's (Navigation Flights) two different airfields. Both Student Pilots gained 9.8 hours flying time in three days. Not to mention completing there Human Factors, Flight Radio, and Air Legislation exams. Well done Darren and Jonathan.

  • crayonbox

    yes NAV (Navigation) = XC
No I am still limited to 25NM from training area. XC (navs) is treated as a seperate endorsement.
