To get you guys ready for the Salton Sea Event this year (Feb 5-10, 2013- which I will post in a sec). I thought I'd post some videos of the area.
Last year, we flew down from North of Los Anleles:
Flight from Santa Paula Airport to Cable Airport and Salton Sea. We flew about 450 miles in 8 hours. The route was in one of most complicated air spaces in Southern California, including Burbank.
The actual airspace near Salton Sea is not complex- though there are some restricted areas and MOAs
