Comment on "Your altimeter displays one altitude while your GPS displays another. Under VFR, which do you use/when?"
Most of my handheld gps seem to wander a bi...o be correct but the actual reported altitude seems to be within 20' or so of what I believe the actual altitude is at that spot based on info...So im not so much worried about what altitude someone else might be flying...WInd conditions with anumation effect - Great tool for every pilot
This is the great tool for every pilot. It shows wind conditions with animation effect. You can change altitude and time and day (current and forecast up to 10 days) It covers all surface of the earth. https://www.windyty.commy first flight of the day at elk river waiting for xc and george to fly in 2013
well it looks pretty low over the trees but actually i was well above them but i decided with slower climb and density altitude to do a diagnal downwind leg while at elk river.worked out well for the next 6 flights.what a fun time we all had.Tags: Altimeter, GPS, Pressure Altitude, Density Altitude, AGL, MSL, Hemispheric rules., setting, correction, relative, indicated altitude, altimeter setting
