I had experienced with thermalling on my trike, Skycycle with 25hp Zenoah engine. Thermal was about 500 fps, used gas to go up faster to circle than hang glider.- Balloons can legally ascend at 1000' per minute (but capable of faster ascents. The pilots view above the craft is very limited (mostly because there is a bloody big balloon above their heads!) so that is why you should be extremely cautious when overflying a balloon.

- Sweet...what you can't tell from photos, is how roomy and comfortable it is....especially the rear seat area (faster too). Unlike the open MTO, (rear seat's too windy) both seats are great and have excellent visibility...But they need the 914.
- Noel, it was one of those planetary alignment moments when the right wing with the right colours appeared before me begging to be bought. I bought my CBR1000rr the same way ;) I cross-graded from the faster climbing, shorter runway Airborne Cruze wing.
- Well, the screen on my Tanarg is the standard medium sized one-- I put on a BioniX wing though, and didn't get the bigger windscreen they recommend for it. It still feels great in the front seat and great visibility, but my passengers complain sometimes now going faster.
