Dave C... "The Man From Snowy River" was filmed around the town of Mansfield & Merijig in the valley below. Stunning country.- This event is now pretty much finished with more river rises and homes and businesses damaged again by floodingin Gympie, Maryborough and Bundaberg. In the wake, we now have an airstrip too soggy to use, and 20+ knot wind.
- Photo's are screen shots from my Hero 2. We are getting all the mud from the highlands fire area which has now had a lot of rain. Most of the towns along the river are on water restrictions due to the silt in the water.

Posted this video for it's meditative effect-- very neat, beautiful & different. Doesn't show in the activity river though-- maybe this comment will pop it up so others can see and enjoy?- Yes its close by. It is filled from Lake Mead - never goes down cuz it special. Haven't added anything new lately, got my eye on U08 and 67L though. They are just begging for me to fly there. Really beautiful scenery on the east side of the river there too.
- Excellent article Jeff another reminder for the low and fast trend.there was an ultralight flyer here a few years ago whom believe it or not got caught in wires stretched across the Clark fork river he got stuck on them bounced off and continued flying.believe it or not.

Thanks @Rizzy, it was spectacular. Four of us went up in there and around Idah...all of this is because Polson is a really great place to fly out of. Elk River is really more of an advanced...- Hi David, yes I have been sent down the river to lecture at a town called Ballarat. It's a cold hole of a place. I have found the fun police don't laugh much here. I have been released on a good behaviour bond and will be home later tonight. Ready for flying tomorrow.
