Leaving Glacier National Park

I posted this as a file to embed in this story about Aircraft Storage options that evolved into traveling XC, and adventures.

We had a lot of friends & wives that should get recognition for helping us at various points along our adventures:  Like David Coy (@Wambleska) for bringing "hundreds" of gallons of gas and arranging an off airport landing in the middle of Montana mountains at Dan & Bill's House (thank you to them too!!) (& yes, TrikePilot we do land off airport  some gnarly stuff sometimes ;)    Nathan @Nwhiteafd, for his help @ Polson, and Carmen for putting us up in her house.  My wife, George's wife, Ttab's wife for all their help and support.  Much of our adventures couldn't be done alone, or just wouldn't be as good without mentioning the friends and family that gave tremendous & self-less help along the way, but rarely share the limelight, and the team and camaraderie that flew these together,  Thank you all !!

That is a great shot XC

Thanks @Rizzy, it was spectacular.  Four of us went up in there and around Idaho, Montana and Washington.  I remember driving (this time) past your house (well much closer than I usually am) and remembering when we flew in last year-- you were in New York though this time.

I learned that Montana is even more beautiful than I thought.  Amazingly I think I might have liked the area just outside of Glacier even better (here's my favorite Pic) it was just outside Kalispel-  if you could look to the left, you would see the entrance to Glacier (in fact this was the morning that we were able to get up in there- that's Henry in the center of this photo).  If you look slightly to the right with eagle vision, we are only about 45 minutes up the Flathead Lake from Polson (where Nathan is @NWhiteafd).  .... and why I'm telling you all of this is because Polson is a really great place to fly out of.  Elk River is really more of an advanced site (narrow, short, unpaved, mountainous, between the trees, higher elevation, etc)   So, I'd really like to go up to Polson next year and do more flying with the guys, and hope you can take your new trike over there too.  There's a lot of U.S. to see, and that may be one of the last years I go there (3 in a row)-  still gotta fly to Wallaby Ranch Florida, Texas on the way (@X), etc.  Lots of stuff to see!!!   So put it on your calendar- we missed you.
