1st March 2013 rain event

The recent rain event finished with half a day of sunshine, and then new clouds have moved in from a new direction and yes, it's raining again. The Maryborough flood water had just about receded, and now looks to rise again with this new event.

I considered flying on Thursday afternoon, but the airstrip was still too saturated, so I gave it a miss.  Now it will be at least another week. :-/

This is no fun at all.  I am glad our house is not at all flood prone, but i really feel for those that have been flooded repeatedly this year.

This event is now pretty much finished with more river rises and homes and businesses damaged again by floodingin Gympie, Maryborough and Bundaberg.

In the wake, we now have an airstrip too soggy to use, and 20+ knot wind.
