Hey Tom, thanks for doing this legwork and investigating the site. I can’t tell you how exciting this is for your Canadian friends to be so much closer for us to travel to. I love the area, can’t wait. Thanks again Tom.

Ha! Dancing around the fire, drinking unusual drinks and meet friends (that you only knew from email) face to face is an unforgettable experience for me. It would be better if I could fly my trike there, but I am happy for the opportunity to fly as a passanger and once as the pilot over beautiful places in Idaho, Montana and Washington states. Sure, I will come sometime in the future... :)

Thanks Tom. Looks to be a great venue. Should be fun:)

If anyone attending who is contemplating upgrading their strutted wing to a new Northwing I may be interested in purchasing yours. FYI.
      Regards

Nice country, Ken. North America has such an amazing variety of scenery to fly over.

Thanks Tussock. I'm trying my best to fly over most of the West side.

We have saying here: "How it will be at the New Year's Day so it will be the whole year" I was at the Dubova airport in January 1st and met my colleague Jany there. But "something tells us" do not fly today. We were noticed some strange feelings around us: 1) A heavy gusty wind began blowing 2) I forgot my radio at home 3) When we were ready to start my engine coudln't run 4) When we decided to fly only one trike, the gusty wind began be stronger    We didn't want to anger to "something" so we cancelled flying for that day.

We returned the next day. I cleaned all ellectrically connectors. But still it didn't work properly. Jany was bringing a special equipment and started finding a problem. He found it. At first he thought it was an ignition computer and we removed it. But we were surprised by accident discovery. The ignition computer worked well the problem was in the ellectricaly contact. Then I put on my winter flying suit and took off. It was quite cold and I watched my instruments. All indicators were in their nominal values. Then I tried a maximum speed... I set up my new speed record with my trike. I've never seen before the value of 150km/h on my indicator. I flew twenty minutes only and I was happy.

Take off it seems to me a little bit longer as the old Profi. Its very easy to control and very easy to fly fast. The wing has cruising speed around 100km/h with less RPM (3650-3700) than old Profi at 80km/h (3850). If I flew with Jany I had trimmed...

How does the stingray compare,  higher cruise speed at the same engine rpm as before?  The take off  distance seems long although that could be wet grass causing it..

Really I do not know what the tower was in the past. Now there are a lot of small antenas around the top of the tower.

We changed some short messages about weather and with Jany we decided to go flying. We thought about max 15 mins of flight because of cold. We spent 1h and 14mins of beautiful flying time.

The wing has cruising speed around 100km/h with less RPM (3650-3700) than old Profi at 80km/h (3850). If I flew with Jany I had trimmed back and we flew around 85-90km/h. Then my engine works between 3500-3600RPMs. You can see cameras vibrations in the video. I had a little problem to find smooth video sequencies for this film. I have a feeling the wing a little turns left if I let the bar go out of my hands. I have to ask an Aeros dealer here what to do with it. I love landings with the wing. With Profi I had usually 65-70km/h to touch down. With StingRay I had 60km/h.
