Really I do not know what the tower was in the past. Now there are a lot of small antenas around the top of the tower.
How does the stingray compare, higher cruise speed at the same engine rpm as before? The take off distance seems long although that could be wet grass causing it..
Take off it seems to me a little bit longer as the old Profi. Its very easy to control and very easy to fly fast. The wing has cruising speed around 100km/h with less RPM (3650-3700) than old Profi at 80km/h (3850). If I flew with Jany I had trimmed back and we flew around 85-90km/h. Then my engine works between 3500-3600RPMs. You can see cameras vibrations in the video. I had a little problem to find smooth video sequencies for this film. I have a feeling the wing a little turns left if I let the bar go out of my hands. I have to ask an Aeros dealer here what to do with it. I love landings with the wing. With Profi I had usually 65-70km/h to touch down. With StingRay I had 60km/h.
Ok Jozzy, you've had it for a few weeks now, can you give us a review of it. What tbe stall is lime with two people and cruise speed, roll effort etc etc
It looks a lovely little wing
I could not use a big airport for a test flight. I had to took off from a short RWY then I decided not to speculate and let the wing fly alone. first I couldnt let fly wing alone still I had hand on bar and it flew about 100km/h, but for a few minutes I knew it can lfy 85km/h with back trim. Next I trimmed for cruising 90-100-110km/h and it flew lovely. Areos writes max speed 165+km/h Thats the speed i dont need and I wont try :) The wing is easy to control and it can fly fast very easy. Wing is stable in turns. With passenger (80kg+80kg me) we had max weight 380kg. Stall speed was 55km/h, min speed 63km/h (full control). Cruise speed is 85-100km/h without change the RPM. The RPM is less. 3650 compared to 3800 with Profi 14. But my first and last flight was 27.10.2019 because of bad weather here. I have to fly more with it to give you better response. But after one hour of flying i can tell I love the StingRay wing! :)
