Steptoe Butte Assault

By Ttabs Comments (13)

Here was a fun run I made in the middle of Spring time in WA state. Google Earth Steptoe Butte if you'd like to have a view of the area (we call the Palouse hills). Just miles and miles of rolling wheat fields.

Wow Tom!  Grabs you from the start, great meld of music, footage and editing!  Stptoe Butte is kinda SS/E of your field right?  You took us nearby on the way to , but it was too windy to buzz it.

I'm going to forward this to some GA folks--  Why we fly trikes!!! Non Le Cages  (just made that up, pseudo french--  No Cages!!)

Well, I sent your vid off to about 70 people, you should get a lot of hits from it ...  ;)

Hi Ttabs, We have little (but built like trucks!) critters here called wombats. Wombats have no neck muscles that allow them to look up. trike pilots have been known to take advantage of this! When you see a wombat on the side of a hill, you can fly around the back of the hill, and then over the top of the wombat, so the wombat is facing you. As the trike races towards the wobat, down hill, the wombat pushes up on his front legs, inorder to see the noisy trike. As the trike gets closer, the wombat pushes up more and more, until gravity takes over and over he rolls, end over end, down the hill. Its hilarious to watch, and doesn't hurt him at all. This can also be done with penguins and a helicopter. it's the domino effect with penguins and can cause the whole rookery to finish up flat on their backs. It doesn't work with Kangaroos. We've tried it!
