Flying the NW Maverick /JCV-360 / 13M Pacer at the 2013 Father's Day Fly-in

This was the 4th year I have participated in the annual Father's Day fly-in at Footlight Ranch in Wellsville, PA. This has been one of my favorite fly-in events. All kinds of flying machines show up and we usually have a pretty good representation of trikes. At this point I only had a few hours in my trike so I was still getting used to my wing. I was playing with a few GoPro mounts. My good friend Wayne (who flies a Sabre 103 trike) downloaded some of my video. So this video is his compilation. He also gives a bit of narration to go along with it. Hope you enjoy it.

Fun video, Joe. Must have been pre polar vortex and a bit of lumpy air? Is the engine monitor the box in the lower center of the panel? Curious that the camera cannot display the numbers if it is.

hey joe loved youre video buddy     kameron makes some good stuff and hes an awesome guy and pilot. so was the camera mount on youre head it gave a real good synopsis of you flight. and that jvc 360 4 stroke sounds awesome, what do you think about its reliability?

Thank for the feedback Art.  Yes I ended up flying in some rather stiff Xwinds and gusty conditions.  It was some post frontal weather that was quite active.  Some of the clips show me all over that control bar.  I had already learned that some rather nasty rotor activity is quite common in that initial section of turf strip that is lined on both sides with fairly tall trees.  Yes that is the little engine monitor but the mount was angled down a bit that made it difficult for even me to see.  I have since cocked it up a bit which improved visibility.

Hey, David.  Glad you liked it.  Yes, I have a gopro mount for my helmet.  I kind of like that view, except that when the pilots head is on a swivel (as it should be with traffic around) it can make the viewer dizzy ;)   Well, I don't have that many hours on my JCV-360 but I hope and pray it will be quite reliable.  Art (FlyDiver) is actually the original importer of this engine in USA when it first came out and he has a heck of a lot more experience with this engine than I do.  I certainly plan to keep up with the maintenance and take care of mine so hoping it will return the favor and take care of me.
