Yes, spot on, Joe. I started doing the maths before it dawned on me that the takeoff relative to ground would be unaffected (apart from bearing friction, tyre loss etc). I find it easy to confuse those reference points. :-)Comment on "Virga: What is It, and When to Avoid (Pilots Tip of the Week)"
Virga is dissipation from a cloud that evaporates before reaching the ground.pilot could expect mild to excessive sink, gradient, shear turbulence I have seen lots of it but never flown near it.I would think it best avoided?
