The pilot was Bill, he was airlifted, he is in critical condition. I hope he is ok. This was another Revo accident in recent memory.

Yup i was just looking at all the news coverage. Does look like bill crows revo. Appears that he was flying low around the bay where he went on nose first into the shore. Just speculating but sounds like a stall or spiral.looks like hes in pretty bad shape . I hope and pray for his recovery.Just when i was thinking weve had a pretty good summer. Sad

I'm extremely saddened by Bill's passing. I never met him and only know him through a series of very pleasant email exchanges, but aside from flying we shared interests in sailing, travel and fine beer and I thoroughly enjoyed communicating with him. He was very friendly and polite in his writings, and I had hoped to take him up on his offer of sharing a beer with him one day.
