Thank you for the offer. I rather choose to practice my landings this weekend at the El Mirage dry lake. Most of all, I'm too close to go solo. The last time I flew was a month ago (conflict of xmas, flu and weather).
I hope to be ready before I go flying at Salton Sea.
Any pilots more familiar with Havasu weather know what to make of this?
Weather Channel calls winds from the N at 11 on Friday and through the weekend for Havasu

Airnav's closest aviation station 40 miles north at Bullhead City, calls for winds from N at 25-31mph!
However, Las Vegas, further North is 4-5mph, maybe 9 at most
Phoenix (S/E) & Yuma (S/W) are E 5-10 and N 14-18.
Are those gales at Bullhead typically a very local phenomenon? Otherwise, things look GREAT!!! so far. Just finishing up my XC route planning.
See you there regardless (driving is an option-- but I want to fly!!!)
Bullhead wind should be similiar to Lake Havasu, only 65 miles. El Mirage dry lake is blowing strong as 25, it will reduce to 14 tmw. Then weekend and next week it will reduce more.
Best to ask Rebel for his opinion since he lives there.
winds are going to be less than 10 all weekend, we never get what bullhead city gets, their in a funnel and it blows there most of the time when everywhere else is calm. should be a great weekend for flying
Road testing the RV today, so far looking great! Full speed ahead!
I’m flying in from Korea connecting in LA Friday. I’m thinking about missing my Houston connection from LA and driving a rental car to the fly-in. Do you think it will be any fun without having something to fly? I don’t know anybody out there.
Sure it will! There will be a few others there without trikes.... but importantly lots of us with them too! Come on out!
cburg, driving from LA to Lake Havasu would be about 6 hours one way. Be sure there is lodgings available.
Thanks, I'm scoping it out now.
for all that will have their trikes here we have a large hanger next to havasu group hanger to store your trikes overnight. Rebel
Awesome Rebel. Thanks! see you tomorrow!
Thank you Rebel. Cburg & Sally I hope you guys come out. I anticipate a GREAT weekend!!!
