Nice video choice CB :), I wonder whether the pilot was distracted at all, aaaa yeh right!

  • Jagsy

hey the pilot flight suits were pretty cool hey, probably a little too warm for down under maybe!

  • crayonbox

Those suits come in handy in winter at 2,000ft or more!  I was cold here some mornings when i was training in october.  Always had to wear gloves and a few layers of clothes.  There's 2c temp drop per 1000ft, and wind chill factor. And you'll be coming from a very warm climate, so best be prepared.

  • Jagsy

OK, so where can you buy one of those Buck Rodger suits then??

  • crayonbox

I saw that the suit was a sparco race suit so it shouldn't be too hot.

There were trikes in that video??!!  Were they hidden behind those huge "hills?"

Seriously, though, speaking of flight suits, many of us initially purchased Ozee's but had problems with zippers blowing out.  Before flying over the cold Orca infested ; ) waters of Puget Sound & down the Western US coast, we thought we should get some immersion suits.  We almost got some Mustang immersion flight suits (very expensive, like around $1500 if I remember right).  My wife said Oh, no you don't and discovered the Fladen immersion suits.  Not only are they GREAT flight suits, easy to get on and off with very sturdy zippers, great double cuffs, but they are pretty inexpensive!!!  How cool is that!!  I wear mine all the time!!  About 5 of us have them now, all of us love them.  The only problem is they're a bit difficult to acquire.  Only sold in UK.  Ken got robbed by one guy on eBay-- sent him one for the price of two.  The rest of us got ours on eBay as well though.

Here's a link to one sop selling them in the UK:  http://www.tacklebargains.co.uk/acatalog/Fladen-Rescue-System---One-Piece-Flotation-Suits---Model-845.html

They are $83 British pounds, or $129 US  or $125 Australian

@Ttabs, your trike might have been the chase trike/Tanarg, seen at 4:29

  • Ttabs

I believe it was my trike!!!  I recognized the corrosion on the strut bolt there!!!!  Woo Hoo!!!!   I'll have to get some of them Elk River babes in my bird to compete with this video (if I can get them to cover up their tattoos, shave,  and put in their fake teeth).
