Man walks into Prop-- this happens, watch out (moderately graphic at 1:15)

This has happened to trikers too. The prop is nearly invisible. I believe it happened to the Flying Gringo once. What is amazing is the man in the above video should have clearly known the motor was running--- so don't take any person's actions for granted. Be careful!

Sent to me from a triker buddy.

Well working a flightline ive seen this way to offen.one time one of our crewman walked into the rear rotor of a helo .believe me it was not as good a outcome as this(very lucky).working a flightline you are always in danger , disconecting apu , hot starts, quick turn fueling. Exspecially on twin engine aircraft.i remember a pilot landing and pulling his prop , he accidently left the mags on. The prop fired on a compression stroke and the prop wacked him in the head 180 stiches later and a long recovery.the worst i ever did in many years on the flight line was i had a long conversation with a pilot flying cessna 310 i turned around quickly and wack right into the point of the tip tank(nocked me cook coo.i also was taking care of chuck yeagers jet (the one he flew in the ac delco commercial.) Chuck flew in handed me the gear pins .i pinned his gear got the ladder.there was alot of press doing a shoot so i moved to the nose of the jet .(now secretly i really thought i was way cool that day) so while cameras were rolling i made the mistake of accidently resting my arm on the pito tube.(bad mistake) because of the cameras i couldnt scream or frown just put my smoldering arm behind my back and grinned even though my stumach muscles wereconvulsing with pain. No one noticed thank god and i never told chuck what happen even though he probably would have appreciated it with a big chuck laugh.and another time i was servicing the gally of a 727 up on the lift truck . When the engine winds down there is a hugh plastic plug you put in the intake to prevent debri from goin in there.it was a very quick turn around we had 15 min to load 35thou lbs of jet a unload the galleys and reload them . So i got the plug ready and the pilot accidently throttled up the engine.the resulting sucktion picked me off my feet and across the bed and with a thud placed the engine plug firmly in the intake.had i gone first well i would of been hurt bad.i used to flag lamp in 9 jolly green giants and park them in a row very close to each other rocks with blades and sand become missles exspecially to the eyes. So its not just walking into a prop..each pilot should always when the engines running be aware and it is not a good idea to have the curious within a large radius of a running prop.ive seen where people were tossing around a small football were the engine is running the ball hit the prop causing a proppeller hub seperation narrowly missing an inocent bystander standing in line with the prop arc wash. We should let poochies run around when fireing up are engines. Not a good idea?
