How good are these aircraft! Awesome.

Hi CB, Thanks for pulling up a bit of history for us. I have been in the Caribou a number of times but never flown one. Something I wish I had done now.
Hi cb yft well working as flight line chief. I had the joy of fueling tugging towing caribous. Twin otters and my favorite the dh beaver.most people think of the dc 3 as the most overbuilt aircraft.but de haviland aircraft has been producing some of the strongest safe stol aircraft for a long time.i was so sad to see dh close up shop for good last year. I wasnt in the military as most people think .we worked under a private milittary contract to handle kafb overflow.plus we did alot of hot pad quick turns.that was nice because we got to work with everything including all the confederate air forces. Ww2 aircraft.i even spent half a day cleaning the underside of henry fords personal trimotor my boss, s son bumped me off from a ride over new mexico in it. I fueld tugged towed cpu hot started. Lq oxy..pinned gears i think on every aircraft known. Almost. When i was a kid all i wanted was to be a pilot but i really enjoyed that job.
