Hello WeFly/Toucans,
My, haven't we all aged so gracefully!.
I enjoyed the historic photos. Can you tell me where this training took place?. From the pics it looks like there is plenty of red australian outback dirt.
It all looked like a lot of fun.
Yes!! (that's what I was thinking too) and then the huge Hay Plains -- the beginning of the outback. Which is pretty barren, even now when it's a lush veritable rain forest due to atypical rains. It's usually really dusty and red
Thats a great Trike. I've taught quite a few in the Airborne Outback with the Wizard wing, great simple open flying machine! Just what a trike is all about ! Enjoy it Larry !
John, after seeing all the fun Brian was having in his Airborne Outback, came out for an Intro ride and loved it (John and Brian are pictured together) He is only 23 and wants to schedule lessons in, in the coming weeks. Hopefully more young fellows getting in the sky.
Funny you should mention "Mad Max" XC. On the mega fauna trip we will be visiting the outback town where Mad Max was filmed. There were a a couple of the cars used in the film out there last time I visited.
Brian Harris flying his Airborne Outback and "posing" for the camera last week on a sunset flight. He is doing fantastic, we just got to keep on him now to get his Sport Pilot License...
4 trikes lined up at on the red sandy road. Brian's 582 Airborne Outback, Johns HKS Astra trike, my 912 Airborne and Marks 582 Air Creation.
