We finally got moved from Las Vegas to Hurricane, Utah. Here is Debbie and I taking our first flight in our new backyard. What a playground we have here. It will take years to see everything in this area. Ahhhh, the fix felt great!
well iam finally dug out of hugh piles of snow and i thought i should post something that describes how i feel right now about the journey xc and i are about to embark on. couldn't find the words so this will have to do?
Just outside Lake Placid, in Upstate New York. Marcy Field. Great little airport! I do my cross country pulling a trailer with the trike, a roof top tent, kayaks, etc.
Upgraded the trim on my Northwing GT5 to work in both directions. Great support from Larry Mednick and Kamron @ Northwing. Thanks to Leo and Henry for the help making the alteration.
Today I test flew my new trike and I am glad to report that she flies great. A little slower than my last one but that is how I like flying anyway...Low and slow :)
Yesterday 21st December, I flew on our Summer Solstice - the longest day of our Southern Hemisphere year. I used the opportunity to fly only by compass and time, after making a flight plan into areas I had never been. It was great fun. Hope you enjoy it too.
Many different kinds of aircraft, including 16 trikes flew into the event. We explored many interesting places around the airport. Many thanks to Steve Bass (he is also a trike pilot) for his great work as the president of Copperstate Fly-in.
Who could know that our friend Eric Auxier (Cap’n Aux) is not only a humorous A320 Captain but also a great writer? Well, you should watch “Santa Drops In”, his very own aviation version of Clement C. Moore’s classic poem, “A Visit From St. Nicholas”.
What a great time meeting new friends and reacquainting with old friends.
A new chapter in my training opened at Bonners Ferry.
Huge THANKS going out to Leo Fitzgerald of Introflights.com
