I cannot see the US market, but I can tell you that a decent Autogyro here in France costs at least 50% more than a top of the range Aircreation trike. Add on 20% more fuel and the longer runway required and my point is made.
That is not to say that I would not like one!
The pilot is Frank. He flies for the AC factory sometimes. He is probably France's number one flexwing pilot. I have had the honour of having him in my back seat a few times.

YFT - I've flown six of those trikes (two in the backseat). At the time, we were joking that there I was with all my trikes. :) If only... I did get to fly a Skypper at the factory in France last year - soloed in it. Loved it.
There are negatives though. They need loads of power, many of them have the 914 engine, and they drink loads of fuel, I have not even mentioned the purchase price. There are thousands of them here in France and I would love one if my budget and runway was bigger.

I read on airliners.net that this was a prototype built in 2010 in Italy to set a new altitude record in France, will be matched with a sail Air Creation Bionix
...ast just in case my helmet did hit the mast. I have two new Tanargs on order, one yellow and the other one black. They should leave the factory in France in two to three weeks.
