xc wouldn't you stear for a boat than blow your brs! :-( in my opinion I'd rather not ditch but great you have it worked out and A plan of action- The Ramphos is a single hull like a little boat, the Krucker Cygnet is on two pontoons. Performance and handling wise I can't comment
