Cool how the boat turns everything unlandable into landable and vice versa (except you could belly in much better on land than a trike could on water).
Thanks, guys. Yep, that's me flying. I have a little over 200 hours in the flying boat now. Other than a little Airborne XT and Krucker experience for my training, it's the only aircraft I've ever had much experience in. And yes, I love the infinite landing possibilities, especially where I live, with a conservative count of FOUR different 70+ mile-long coastlines within 15 miles of my home base. And while I do stay high enough over land to allow for a glide to water, I actually believe that the flying boat might offer a safer unplanned landing on a farmer's field than a wheeled trike. Of course, I'd have a bit more of a logistical problem to deal with afterwards.
Glad you liked the video. Thanks for the comments.
Hi Shorebird, I have only sen a few videos of Trike flying boats before. I am happy to say that I really liked yours. Well done. I have a lake at my doorstep, and Airborne were trying to get me to buy the two XT-912 flying boats they used in the Americas Cup. But we have to many bogans of jetskies. I have enough trouble with these idiots when we fly the helicopter from the sky club. Thanks for post your movie I really enjoyed it.
