Baffled, Fly a steady360 at constant airspeed, note the max and min speed on your GPS. wind speed = (max-min)/2 trike speed through the air = (max + min)/2 While you do the turn, note the heading where the GPS speed was lowest, that's the wind direction.Comment on "Strongest Wind you would comfortably fly in with NO Turbulence?"

I wouldn't use their suggestion at every field, especially a short...ion of expanding your awareness to the wind signs around you (smoke, tree...ds (land, stand, and take off into the wind), flags, ripples on water, et...option- some airports just suck in the wind...
