Hi av8or, they are great shots. I was only saying to the pilots the other day that we must fly down to see you soon. Are the fire bombers still at the airport?
Those are great photos, so they let you fly over Valley of Fire? That is cool, there is a lot of Native American art on the rocks there. BTW, I was married there :D
Fabulous photos in an amazing landscape Rick D. I will now just have to scurry to a site that explains the geologic history of the Valley of Fire! ... But then, I will always find some diversion from doing the business books! Thanks again.
any where from 500 ft to 1000 ft there was no notam but I stayed out of the fire zone aprox 1000 ft from gnd zero, I know that area very well as for as obstacles there.
Barren looking country Rick. Where exactly is the Valley of Fire? Looks like somewhere near Broken Hill in Australia but I am sure there are other barren places on the planet!
Looks neat, but I'm concerned with the positioning of this above the motor. Reminds me of one of the accidents caused by improper fuel tank venting and in flight fire that occurred in Hawaii a few years back.
Photo's are screen shots from my Hero 2. We are getting all the mud from the highlands fire area which has now had a lot of rain. Most of the towns along the river are on water restrictions due to the silt in the water.
