  • Comment on "Are they having too much fun at YFT?"

I regret to inform you that when I arrived at YFT this morning, YFT was in handcuffs. The fun police informed me he was about to be taken to Ballarat Fun Police Station in order to instil some fun in that area. Unable to say when he will return... May be able to spy on the situation?

Yes Jagsy, probably not for too much longer.  This was a warmer afternoon fly and its still 26-29c then.   The morning are still tolerable too though. I do also have Kiwi genes...

  • Comment on "Topic 2) early morning itis"

Right on the money Jeff! I think we should periodically test the boundaries of our comfort zones and if appropriate consider expanding them in specific ways. Some folks are not great morning people so late afternoon slowly progressing toward earlier launches also works well.

Congagulations to Mark who went Solo this morning in Class D Double Eagle Airport ! You could tell when he dropped me off after 3 touch and goes, he was souding super confident on the Radio with the Tower as he Taxied back out all by himself. Many great years of flying ahead of you sir !

ULtrikeoilot, thank for your nice comment on the movie. I don't think yu have any issue to take from Mineral Counrty Airport. Especially, the air temp is lower than 50 degree in early summer morning, which makes density altitude lower.

Frank Dempsey and myself had fun on Sunday morning taking a friend and her family members up for short flights around the airport! I put this together and printed a large one out and framed it for her! Good times! Even Frank and I look quite respectable in the top right! Who would have known !!

  • Comment on "A Memorial Day Indeed!"

Thanks everyone.   Dave - One tank of gas and I can fly all morning.  Of the three trikes that went on this run, one was a northwing with 9 gal capacity.  He topped off in Colville which was the main reason why we stopped there. LOL - we just got hungry waiting on him!

  • Comment on "AUSSIE REVO MEETS AUSSIE TANARG"

I hope you did the honorable thing and fly to Bills to give him a hand with milking the cows on Monday morning......after all he did give you a fly in his trike. It sounded like the perfect social triking event....flying then lunch.
