    Hey XC.. gr8t post...

Do you know where in Oz, when and who created the implementive pre-takeoff checklist prior flight..?

Just kidding.. i have the answer somewhere here in the archives.. being older at times is rewarding:-)).

In the beginning,  trike pilots operating under the HGFA management system introduced a pre-takoff checklist at the HGFA Phase 1 - Instructors Conference in Newcastle - 1990.

One of many outcomes from this event, we could fly at aerodromes, hold/operate VHF radio and fly to 5000 ft - AMSL... and own/operate HGFA approved flight schools with CAA approval... pioneer stuf-fory.

A safety inititive created some 23 years ago is alive, enlightening and real for trikers safety.. prior flight even today, a thread of pioneer safety is evident - just awesome...!

My personal safety omen before flying.. now,

    'TWMPFISCH' - throttle, wind/wires/weather, mags/duel test, pins/mains, fuel/sufficient, instruments/QNH, switches (VHF/Coms), controls (full free movement),  hatches/helmets/harness - CLEAR PROP

.. or as you have with 'TWMPFISCHR..' , now we can fly with radios..!

Link here to some history, with an image further down the page of the first, HGFA - CAA qualified CFI's in Australia from that time.. smooth flights for 2014.

Thanks MM, I knew I had seen this photo before on AT (great one) and I knew it was for sale at one time, but I didn't know it was your awesome pic.  I was trying to put it back up for it's excellence and put it in the learning area where like you say it might be found easier for posterity.  Post the for sale in the "Market" (under the "More" pull down)

Wow, it's got 42 views already!!!  Great Pic / instructional

Ok, I'm an idiot, this was Crayon Box's creation.  Great links guys, and WeFly your link above very informational.  Also reminded me of the POST-Flight check that YFT clued me in on!!
