Chip was piloting. I considered that at least the water was warm here ...
As we flew past the cliffs, thousands of sea birds tucking in for the evening were startled to flight and dove out all around us. It was amazing how the expertly flew right around the trike- the only direction they had available was 90° degrees right at us as they dove off their perches. Since then, I haven't worried much about bird strikes.
Camera lightened things up, but the longer exposure caused blur ..
