Thanks for the commiseration, everybody! I had a charger in the hangar so was able to fly later. :D The trouble was probably a radio wired temporarily to the battery. I think it was drawing power even though turned off.
Heather hope your not mad but i had to laugh when o saw it.1 min of pure intertainment. You must be in that good personality group, Iam in the group who throws something. Does a half dozen aww mans,a few lightly coated cuss words. Then i realize i forgot to turn on the mags. Thought id share a funny electricity story
Long time ago i worked painting this ranchers house. He had an electric fence that the votage was way turned way up with a dimmer switch because wildlife was tearing down his fence. I was up two stories on a ladder when i saw a guy who had come over started staring at the electric fence.he didnt see me. I guess he thought he could short circut the voltage grabbing the line with both hands.Within a few minutes of pondering i watched his unsucsessfull attemped from above. Grincing a shaking and wincing for about a minute he finally broke loose of a severe zap.shook up and filled with his own stupidity he looked around to make sure no one saw it. I never let out a peep watching from above but i did almost fall off the latter trying to contain myself? Sorry i just had to laugh
No mad, white eagle! I was not amused at the time, but had to laugh at myself when I looked at the footage. Funny about the mags. My trike won't start unless the hand throttle is firmly closed (won't even turn over). Lately, a passenger bumped it slightly open when getting in...no start. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what happened. Clearly that is a good safety feature.
That guy must have grabbed hold of a few to many fences...
