Hangercross or is it Motoglider???

Pretty radical!!!  Kind of a Trike-a-Cycle

Not a lot of ability to correct roll / pitch-- very gutsy.  You did Motorcycle stunts competetively right Ed?  You could adjust pitch some by reving the engine & torquing the rear wheel or braking it.

Bob Wills was one of the founding brothers of Wills Wing but was tragically killed while filming a hang glider advertisement for Jeep when the helicopter flew over top and rotored him.

I liked to have fun with my WW Falcon in the dunes.  The sand is forgiving, the conditions gentle and we never got higher than 15 feet or so.  I would give piggy back rides to light (female ;) ) passengers-- they could always let go into the soft sand.

I'm sorry to hear about him passing. :-(  That's like the para glider in the move Triple X (XXX) the director asked him to get as close to the bridge as possible and on the 3rd or 4th take he slammed into the side of it killing him. The movie industry is pretty brutal!! They ask a lot of these people, BUT they are the ones say if they can do it or not, I just hate seeing them do these stuts under pressure thinking they won't ever get a job again if they don't do it!!

Yes you are right XC Triker, you can have some control in the air with a motorcycle by body language, braking and using the throttle. It's pretty cool !!

I have a funny feeling you don't fall in the sand much when your flying solo.... LOL ;-)

That guy had no thought in that except the ambulance.... LOL

    Yep!

How 'bout THIS?    (Sky Gypsies: Fade to Flying)

THIS is the one we all wanted though!

A few years ago my brother decided to make his 350 cc motor bike fly. A flyer of light aircraft and an amateur inventor, he was frustrated by the fact that, if he flew anywhere, he had no transport at the other end.
So using only parts purchased at the local hardware store and an old hang glider wing, he rigged up the Sky Bike.
The wings, propeller and other modifications take about 10 minutes to put on the bike. After the flight, they can then be removed just as quickly allowing the flyer to ride off on the motor bike.
This video is of the Sky Bike's maiden flight, in Western Australia.)
