Ken... not sure this crossing is achievable. Commendation for a darn good attempt. However, with the balloons un-anchored, the closer the walker moves centrally, the greater the effect of gravitational pull resulting in the balloons being drawn together - and the more free play (slack) in the rope. Nobel attempt. What a rush those first few steps must have been.
Would make for an awesome Chuck or 007 (Bond, James Bond) final fight scene with our good protagonist winning and hanging one handed wearing one shoe while watching the evil one plummeting with the other...
