Rich is a youtube friend of mine that just posted this informative top 12 tips after achieving 1000 hours. There are quite a few good points in here and it got me thinking - if I were to do a 'top 12 tips' video, what would my list look like? Things I'd consider include:
preflight habits
maintenance and inspection habits
Emergency lists and conditions - all inclusive stuff here from power loss take-offs to density altitude issues, to fires, to …..
radio resources - imagine flying in unfamiliar airspace and your GPS drops out of your trike. What next?
And - what tips have you learned? Rich's comments on the EGT sweet spot is interesting. Also, I do my mag checks as the engine is warming up simply to check that they are working. Is there more here that I'm missing?
Thanks Rich for the thought provoking topic.
