I would land into the water near the coast because I havent rocket rescue system. When I would be low then I would slow sharply and sit down as a parachute. Damage of my trike and wing will be smaller than landing between trees.
Good choice sally. I have an open trailer and its a pain worrying all the time about dirt damage. I just cant afford a inclosed trailer right now so iam going to take ken up on shrink wrap!

There are some fields that I would be tempted to land gear up in. A nice golf course wouldn't be one of them though. :-) It causes only minor cosmetic damage to the bottom gelcoat on a Dragonfly and would reduce the rollout length and lessen the likelihood of flipping the trike over.
