Sounds like a plan! I am currently working on all maneuvers as well reading up the books to get my license. Once that is out of the way, i'd like to get some serious cross country trips under my belt.

Hi Rebel, I thought I can do that (clear of clouds) under my sport pilot license, if it is within Class G airspace. Also, a light sport aircraft can't be a certified IFR aircraft ?

I'm very sorry to hear that YFT. You fly your trike at night? 99% in US don't fly trikes at night, most of the reason is because Sport Pilot license does not allow night flying.
