Some "likely lads" from my home county of Yorkshire - the accents give it away!! The big mill building in the background is pretty distinctive - I suspect somewhere near Sheffield (Steel mills) - those Southern Yorkshire lad are all crazy!!

No, I think it is considered unsafe because the POH for that aircraft says "don't do those things".
He may be still alive and flying, but is the next owner of that aircraft? Did he note that the wing had been stressed like that in the aircraft log?
