Big Bird has a new hen house

Bought this trailer with a dual purpose in mind. Moved from Las Vegas to the Reno area and used it for 2 trips of STUFF. Final trip was to bring big bird home. Had planned on flying her to her new home, but timing ended up favoring trailering. The trailer is an 18 ft V nose, which gives about a foot clearance front and back for the Quest GT5 on Tanarg Combo. 8.5' wide give just enough room between the wheel wells for easy clearance of a few inches on each side. Suspended the wing from the ceiling with 3" wide webbing straps. Was really pleased to see the natural position of the rear gear riding just above the center of the trailer axels. Made for a smooth ride.

Looks good and you still have prenty space for other stuff.

I have a couple of tool boxes and fuel cans up front, andI can envision an enduro motorcycle right in the back. Will be perfect for Road trips.

You have me thinking enclosed trailor ken. Looks real roomy   ive got to learn the ins and outs of trailoring with the wings folded back. Ive never done it?

  • Tussock

One of the advantages of strutted wings.  Looks like a handy way to start an XC trip and live the Happy Triker life!

Love it Ken! I went the same route after watching Henry's video a year ago. That's where I keep her for now, until perhaps one day a hangar becomes an option.

Very nice!  I'm always on the hunt for a new trailer. Mine is a flatbed with supports and a tarp. Sort of Jeb  Clampet. Thats very roomy !

Ken, this looks really nice. Spacious but not excessively large.  Just the ticket for your rig.  I too will eventually get a fully enclosed trailer.

Great choice, you won't regret it. We got the 20 foot version and it accomodates both the wife's ATF and my Belite with room left for all the spare parts, tools and a couiple of small scooters for ground transportation. About the same weight as our old F150 loaded so tows just fine behind the bus or the new F150.

Hey! That's my retirement plan!! Looks great Ken. Happy to see how well she tucks in there. I was eyeing the 18ft "V" nose as well but was really concerned about how close it would be. Do you know how tall the door entry is on this? The sizes of the door height seem to fluctuate a good deal. Thank you for figuring it out for me! Now that I have a good hanger this plan will be a few years from now.

75" door height. The trailer itself is pretty low so the ramp angle going in isn't too high. Ive seen issues with door height when the ramp is too steep on other trailers. 7' between the inner wheel wells, really needed since the Tanarg is such a wide beast.
