Yeah!! Anyone know what kind of fighter jet that is? There were tons of them-- maybe guarding that Presidential TFR (BTW, we heard this transmission on 121.5 "Low wing green and white aircraft in a shallow left turn THIS IS THE UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, you have been intercepted. If you acknowledge this transmission, rock your wings. BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU DO NOT COMPLY WITH THESE INSTRUCTIONS YOU MAY BE FIRED UPON!!!"
I hope @DaleDidion also posts this pic of a beautiful female Citation Pilot who was ferrying around a rather pansy looking rich business executive. I asked them if they wanted a ride as they were walking pst us, and he said, "My God, No!!!! Has anyone ever died in one of these ..." She totally made him look stupid saying she loved flying in "ultralights" they were very safe and in fact she was very jealous of all the fun we were having !!! (We were about to take off over San Diego Harbor ...) She spent several minutes admiring the trike, while the rich guy looked sheepish, then she strutted off, her long brown hair, etc moving gracefully toward the Citation jet.
I told Dale, official cameraman of the trip, "Dude, you gotta get a pic of her !!!" so he unabashedly aimed the big lens right at her and started snapping as she turned, caught us and smiled and waved-- That was actually when she said she was "jealous" ;)
that is a fa-18 hornet 18s have diagonal twin tails 14s have twin straight tails 16s have single straight tail. when i was working on the flight line i always asked the pilots if they were fun to fly and they said no its grueling and exhausting.when i asked well which jets were fun to fly it was pretty unanimous the t-38 talon?
XC in my excitement to get the shot I didn't notice that I accidentally hit the setting from photo to video and by the time I corrected things she was on the plane. I did get about 5 seconds that I will post.
