Lenticular clouds in Mountains North of Flathead

This just a couple hours after landing.  Do you recognize it forming?

Log: Left Bill's house about 6:30am.  Took off slight downwind, away from hills, no probs.  Loose headphone connection to iPhone/Music caused some static on Enigma screen- figured it out.  Flew solo over De Borgia (David Coy's town- he was sleeping I guess) head winds at 10,500 feet were over 30mph, cold at 41°F, then met up with group at Thompson Falls (KTHM).  Sheer winds at 9k, mechanical turb down to 7 or less (at height of tops of mountains), felt it was not good idea to delay at Thompson Falls.  Stretched, pissed and got back in, had to abort t/o for glove dropped on ramp (first aborted t/o) no prob.  Box pattern climb out, to avoid winds out of next canyon and rotor from mountains.  Significant turbulence at 7500+, raced downwind with ground speed over 106mph, landed in increasing winds at Polson.  Buzzed by lookie loos and a helicopter (they always do that!!! WTF).   Winds at De Borgia at 20-25 soon after.  Lenticular clouds over Polson.  May fly this evening.

Staying in nice house, friend of Ttabs with fast internet connection (way better than my slow home connection) ;)

Sorry I didn't get any photos of Polson coming in (we were doing over 106mph GS)!!  Ttabs, Henry & George will all give you some great videos soon.

Ok, so that was a weak lennie forming, but the sky was soon littered with them.  I've never seen so many before, from the west horizon to the East, so I didn't think I'd get a chance to shoot better ones.  Better pictures to upload now.  Plus a big thunderhead developing over the fire in Missoula a few miles to the South where we'll be headed Monday.

Tomorrow we're wheels up at dawn to go into the mountains of Glacier park to the north.
