thanks yft you never cease to amaze me that air looks so smooth and calm must be a lot of fun flying it . not a peep of a ripple in water. and that runways so wide would give me an extra edge of confidence in strong crosswind thanks .
Hi Whits eagle, The flight over the lake was a bit bumpy and it was smoother over the land. A bit diffent to the norm. Our RWY is only 18 metres wide. Just enough for two Trikes to do a formation take-off. By the way is it better to have green timber or dried timber to work with? See you soon.
pictures can be deceiving but as i view it i would guess it would be smooth so what was the cause of it being more turbulent when ive flown over water i always expect sink holes. anyways iam exhausted from work and i thought the green in the far right top picture was a runway. ive carved with green or dry wood i think dry wood works better but in order to minimize the cracking in dry wood that happens pretty fast after you expose the pores its important to get some sealer on it fast. ill post a picture on my pro page so you cam see some of my older work remember that i only use nothing but a stander-ed saw.

Smooth as baby's butt. Excellent photos.
Hi Sally, It was smooth but not over the lake, very strange. Thanks for the comment. Have you been getting any flying in?
