Yes, thanks Sally for joining the Part 103 or UL group. Feel free to post any thing there related to UL trikes. Also, please do keep us informed of which way you decide to go regarding an UL.
Hey sally. Welcome to joes group. I recently find myself even more attracted to nanolight soaring trikes. I wanted to mention to take a look at the aeros ant website. It comes with the polini thor 250 which is a perfect engine for you and me as well, very light 36.5 hp. Very soarable with e/0.
Hey sal. Sorry i havent been able to get the dark side to change the dates but the dates are officialy set for july 29 thru aug 3rd !
Thank you Ken and white eagle. My CFI suggested that I keep my 15m wing. I can't wait to fly again in November. I'll be refreshing my landings with CFI. It had been 3 years.
Both are great wings. I prefer the 15. The 17 can be a bit of a handfull for 1 person when the thermals up or in gusty winds.
Sally. Keep your mustang 2 its a great wing. I love mine . Save a little xstra moola and get a deal on barnstormers for a used but good condition soaring trike? Youll have fun at fly ins with your faster friends and take someone along. And go fly with the real pilots the birds with your soaring trike or hang out with your hangie buds in thermals and ridgelift with your engine off. In my opinion best of both worlds.
Hello ya, all.
I'm torn between 17m and 15m wing. I currently have Northing Mustang-2 15m. I was recommended to keep 15m. I've flown NW 17m. I love flying thermals, flying low, far. I have dual seats, like to bring my friends with me. My engine is Rotax 503 dual.
I wish there is a 16m wing rather than deciding between 15m and 17m wings. Any opinion?
Hello white eagle. I just posted the pictures on this site. Pictures show my works on the trike, and I added comment about myself.
Hi sally. Hope you have a great time down in henrys neck of the concrete woods. Hows your bird coming along ,is it finished? Wish i could make it down but iam trying to figure where iam headed job wise. Probably going to start carving again.
Hi Sally, Thanks for responding! I have a hanger that is only 10 feet 7inchs high so in the past I've seen where they remove the compression tube and drop the wing down in front of the trike on a cart and then wheel it in, with out removing it from the mast. Thanks for any help . Mike
My wing is NW Mustang-2 15m. Last wing was NW Mustang-2 17m. It was a loan from my friend to use for my practice takings off and landings. My friend suggests that I take few hours training with 15m wing so I can learn the limits.
Good idea, Ken. I'll check with that once I get wing on my trike. I will ask Leo for assistance with gas struts when I take few hours lessons with my fast wing.
Auto parts store - pretty much the same ones that lift the tail gate on an SUV - just need to match up the length
Any ideas where I can get gas struts (for lifting wing on trike) to fit my Antares?
Ken, I agreed with 40 gal is too much. I got the price for 15-gal tank, which is $660. I've asked for shipping cost to my home.
Oh wow, found it. Antares open country with a 40 gallon tank.

I also see the 40 gallon tank on their site, but it is offered as a crop dusting tank. Can you post the fuel tank link?
15 gallons seems about right and will probably give you the ability to carry a passenger too.
