Interesting machine - is that a Jabiru engine?

It’s a Continental A-75 that I rev up a little to get 80HP. I’m experimenting with different cooling shrouds (eyebrows)…that all use down-flow ram-air. At Bensen Days in a couple of weeks, I’m looking forward to seeing (up close) a different approach which is up-flow with prop-suction. It’s an ingenious approach and reported is superior to ram-air.

I’ll post a picture of what I want to try next. I’m in the green with my CHT’s now but think the new way will be less drag.

My purpose for getting this wing was get my RPMs and CHTs down and still have a good top speed for XC. That’s one of the main reasons for the aircraft engine…to strictly run avgas….much less hassle when on an XC.

Plus I live in an airpark with the Avgas pump nearby....sign the sheet and pay monthly.
