We need trike pilot licence and training requred 6hrs of theory (basic knowledges of aerodynamics, meteo, first aid, navigation, engines, propellers, instruments...) and minimum 15hrs of practical flying. Most of them are focused on landings: airport, short rwy, up hill, emergency landings to terrain. 2hrs are focused on critical flight modes: min speed (how the wing tells you WARNING we are too slow), lost of speed in direct flight and in a bank and recovery... I spoke to some people in US and Australia and they told me they didnt train unusual (critical) flight modes. We have included them in basic pilot trainning here.
I think it is more reasonable to include training for unusual flight conditions, like spiral dive.
From 1989 we were members of Flying Amateur Association (LAA) Czech and Slovak Republic. After separation in 1993 we are in our Flying Amateur Association of Slovak Republic (LAA SR). LAA SR is for HG, PHG, PG, PPG. We musnt flying for business. For our passion and free time (amateur) only. All the time we are developing our flying techniques, procedures and educations. Unusual flight conditions like spiral dive, loss of speed was in our schools all the time. We rise our technicians, our instructors and inspectors (like CFI). The aviation authority of SR accepted our LAA. But our pilots licences are not walid in other world. In Slovak rep only. Fortunately other neighbors countries are accepted our documents (pilot licences, trike licences) :)
