Nice work and nice video. Around your airport arent a lot of places for an emergency landing. There are beautiful huoses, farms(?), a lot of trees and its really nice place. But why do you do that wide circles? We have a lot of places for emergency landings near our airport (most of them we use for training), but I teach students to fly close circuits. If something is happen he can land from each point of circuit. Because most of throubles happens after take off (fuel cock, low heating engine, or someting after full power running). Please, I dont tell that you are wrong... I only ask why? Its usually, according to your rules, its better for something...? In our country rules are different maybe. Its my interest only. Thanks.

jozinko the wide pattern is for noise abatement if we go close all the people around the airport complain to the mgr and as a courtesy we go wide

Reb, I really like how you communicate with your student reinforcing need to constantly assess current situation and taking corrective action if needed. That Grants Pass looks like a nice airstrip.

Thanks Reb. Yes, we are knowing this problem too. Fortunately we are able fly around our airport. The vilages are a little farther. We have a strict restriction to fly over vilages.
