Our first Home flight

By Leo Comments (7)

Flight around our home in So Cal. The flight originated from Perris Airport, to Moreno Valley ( home) then to Redlands over the Badlands, and from there south to Hemet, where I rounded towards Sun City, then back to Perris and covered 96.4 miles in 1.6 hours.

Enjoy :)

Many interesting landscapes around your homertown. I hope I can fly with you there someday soon.

Looking forward to having you come out someday Henry! Yeah man, very diversed out here. My 582 is limited to some extent, but it still allows me to reach some really intresting areas. The beach is only 30 miles to the south west. :D

Nice video Yeti! Looks like it was an enjoyable ride. Debbie likes those kind...cruising and perusing.

Fun flight! Thanks Leo. Just need to carry some xtra 2 stroke and you can fill up anywhere to extend your range :)

    Thanks guys! :D

Marta ans I realized how lucky we are not to live in an over densely populated area. We're like just on the outskirts of the major cities such as Riverside, and San Bernandino.

The flying is pretty easy going. March Airforce base is Charlie Airspace, and I don't have a transponder, so I stay clear of that, but I do communicate with the tower to let them know my location and they dig it man. They like being talked to even if you're not in their airspace. Lots of farm areas, hills and lakes. Can't wait to do it again.....although I would REALLY like to find a hangar. ><

Beautiful flight over beautiful places. I thought you all must use a transponder... We have not to use it too. I thought: what I should to buy? 1) safety rocket system BRS or 2) transponder. Im flying more than 25 years without BRS, when I stayed in situation (2 times only) for BRS I had to control it... Then I decidet save money for transponder. And all spaces will open for me :)

Thanks Joz, I have a BRS on mine, but the Transponder is only required on Charlie or Bravo Airspace. Where I fly, there is a reserve airforce base that is C class, but I stay clear of that area because of the large re-fueling aircraft.
