Cruising up the Dirty Devil River. Near Hanksville, I saw a Powered Parachute circling ahead. I raised him on the radio to say good morning. He was a little surprised to see the two of us emerge from the middle of nowhere, then disappear into the desert wilderness.- Big bird ready for departure, I set it up Thursday pm and staged at the hangar in Boulder city for the flight to el mirage the next morning. Thanks to the guys at BFE!

- Winds were calm this morning and we headed straight up the Rio Puerco Valley with few scenic detours. We took a look at the mud water fall, flowing nicely from the summer rains. We continued due north for Pagosa Springs.
