Cruising up the Dirty Devil River.
Near Hanksville, I saw a Powered Parachute circling ahead. I raised him on the radio to say good morning. He was a little surprised to see the two of us emerge from the middle of nowhere, then disappear into the desert wilderness.
Big bird ready for departure, I set it up Thursday pm and staged at the hangar in Boulder city for the flight to el mirage the next morning. Thanks to the guys at BFE!
There was actually a huge (for Montana) crowd of people there-- David Coy got half the town to show up, and people kept dropping by-- even the next morning as we got ready at 6am

Ttabs and I enjoyed a great flight to ID22 for a breakfast flyin this morning. What a great country we enjoy such freedom in !!! Thanks to all who serve and have served on so many fronts to preserve it !!!
Winds were calm this morning and we headed straight up the Rio Puerco Valley with few scenic detours. We took a look at the mud water fall, flowing nicely from the summer rains.
We continued due north for Pagosa Springs.
