It was a tad bit chilly and just a little too windy here in Illinois, but I did manage to log the first hour of flying this year. Can't think of a better way to bring in the New Year!- Today was expected to be the windy day of the trip with 20mph winds in the afternoon. - I found “Royal Arch”, 175ft high with a span of 80 ft, ample clearance for a trike. On the other side of the ridge was a mini Monument Valley. It was too windy to explore today, but I plan to return and check it out in the future.
