These "fishing" cabins have a square net they lower into the water and then pull them back up time to time to see if they have caught a fish. I recon it's a mans excuse to leave the house for a few hours and drink a beer or two with friends
we flew back to the airport and Martin was relaxed and he was excited speaking about smt with hands gesticulation... then I turn off the throttle: lost of power...
I love watching brown pelicans soar, especially the push of air at the face of a wave as it moves forward. So glad they came back after DDT was banned, we didn't see them for quite a while
It was kinda foggy on the coast all day today, but WARM in the air (inverted)! Very nice, great conditions. Took an excited passenger from the event up here. When we got back, the SLO tower asked for a ride ;)
We had steady light rain for about 1hour, starting near Lindrith. The clouds lifted near the vents where I looked to the side and saw Cabezon.
What a miserable flight. But we made it back safely to Belen.
Chad of trikebuggy fame drove this ppg trike back and forth from el mirage to flying J. Sometimes it was without a wing, sometimes with a ppg, and sometimes with a trike wing. Versatile!
I will certainly miss the kick in the back when opening up the Rotax 582 to full revs and launching into the skies - that very quiet 5 blade KIEV prop certainly is great match for a wonderful engine and an amazing 19 year old maiden of the skies.
