Winds were calm this morning and we headed straight up the Rio Puerco Valley with few scenic detours. We took a look at the mud water fall, flowing nicely from the summer rains.
We continued due north for Pagosa Springs.
It was kinda foggy on the coast all day today, but WARM in the air (inverted)! Very nice, great conditions. Took an excited passenger from the event up here. When we got back, the SLO tower asked for a ride ;)
We landed at Pagosa, refueled and headed north up the Piedra Valley.
We flew past Williams Reservoir and approached the 12,500 ft mountains that blocked our path to Creede. It was 11am and the clouds were just starting to build.
