Chad of trikebuggy fame drove this ppg trike back and forth from el mirage to flying J. Sometimes it was without a wing, sometimes with a ppg, and sometimes with a trike wing. Versatile!
PRUA = Paso Robles Ultralight Association
The sky was very active, constantly changing, but the near ground level winds weren't bad and the electric "e-gull" went flying and so did Ralph & Jim.
We flew up to the top of Goose Creek and headed back down. Glad I had the Aiptek video running, because I was to busy flying to pull out my still camera.
This is real international photo. You can to see: pilot XC Triker from USA, copilot Jozinko from Slovakia. We were flying in Australian trike on Australian sky. It can connect the Alltrikes web site only.
Look at the dunes in the bottom right corner. They are giant. Everything felt very remote out here, especially being the only triker flying, no boats out this far-- it was beautiful.
Beautiful airport we considered as an alternative to Elk River. We had it all to ourselves. Multiple touch and go 's
Beautiful area for flying- Lake Chelan, Coeur d'Alene, etc
Have to fly > 50 miles away and 3 hours with 10 landings at night.
Among other things, it's hard to judge your altitude at night. Clouds are just blacker spots in the sky.
Black spots on the ground are either airports, or mountains, or lakes/ocean, or rough terrain.
